As a queer installation artist and mother, I build immersive environments that offer joy, reflection, and refuge—especially in times of cultural and ecological uncertainty. My body of work, Elsewheres, imagines surreal, biomorphic dreamscapes: floating ecosystems and sculptural collages that evoke the feel of fantastical terrariums. These spaces are both escapes from reality, and hopeful reimaginings of it—an invitation to wonder, to feel, and to belong.

Constructed from recycled paper pulp, salvaged Styrofoam, and reclaimed plywood, the work is grounded in transformation—of material, of meaning, of world. The result is a lush, layered messiness that blurs boundaries between the organic and invented, the remembered and the dreamed.

Light-responsive, highly textural, and often kinetic, the work continues my use of reflective materials and gravity defying forms to create ephemeral, sensory-rich experiences. These pieces carry forward the values at the heart of my practice: re-use, joy, and community. I make this work to imagine other possibilities—not just for myself, but for all of us.

Echoes of Elsewhere 112 is a small free standing sculpture measuring 10”H x 3”W x 2”D. Created using reclaimed and recycled materials, epoxy clay, metallic leaf, and paint.
